Aahnii/Hello, I am Cheyenne Kewageshig the owner and creator of Ninosheyans Beads. I am Potawatomi/Ojibwe mixed and a member of Saugeen First Nation #29 which is located in Ontario, Canada.
I am 26 years old, and a mother of 3 beautiful children. I began my beading journey in 2019, and have fallen in love with creating one of a kind beaded heirloom pieces. I continue to be inspired by my late great grandmothers bead collection, the land I grew up on, and contemporary jewellery design. Beading has allowed me to reclaim an artform that was lost in my family two generations back; creating a future for my children that is full of our culture.

Materials
Natural elements that are incorporated into each piece are harvested from my traditional territory Saugeen First Nation #29. Materials featured in my work: birch bark, porcupine quills, white tail deer antler, brain tanned deer hide, authentic rabbit and mink fur.

The earrings that I have purchased are magnificent. I am grateful to have earrings that include traditional materials as part of my collection. I will feel rather special whenever I wear them.
